  1. Any reports or info for Back River in vicinity of Messick Point in Poqouson? Thanks.

    Rub Rails ?

Recently picked up a 17' Stumpnocker CC as a flats skiff. Needs to have rub rails installed and I've checked out West Marine and Boaters World and not excited about the options. Could install some long hard wood stips and back them, but I'd prefer some heavy duty black rubber moulding. And suggestions? Thanks.

    Tohatsu Rebuild

I've got what I think is a '91 M40C Tohatsu that needs a new carb and frankly a good rebuild. Any suggestions on the pennisula? Thanks.

    Canvas Shop For Boats

While your getting estimates..check out LeBlanc Custom Canvas in Hayes if you trailer or Dave will come to your boat. 804-684-9937. Just had him put full enclosures on my Wellcraft hardtop and I'll tell you between the stamoid fabric and the tenera thread the top may outlast the boat!
  5. Simply amazing..71 views overnight and not one opinion. Where are all the fishermen at? LOL
  6. Any recommendations for the morning? Planning on putting in at Old Point Comfort. I'll have my wife and daughter with me so....Anything cooking around Thimble Shoals or Blue Fish Rock or should I head to the CBBT islands. Thanks!

    Wanted: Taco Sport Slam bases

Preferably 1-1/8"; going on a hardtop on a Wellcraft Exel 23 Walkaround.
  8. Bimini top with frame and bases plus full enclosure for a Wellcraft Excel 23 Walkaround. Ought to fit any express cruiser with a cuddy. Includes: Front windshield which zips to the bimini and snaps to your windshield. Two clear side curtains which zip to the bimini and snap to your windshield and cockpit. One side as a 2" tear in the plastic adjacent to a vertical zipper. Rear Enclosure zips to the bimini and two side curtains and snaps to your cockpit. Just added a hard top and enclosures so don't need these anymore. Make me an offer!
  9. Looking for a pair of Taco Sport Slam bases. The model that flush mounts and don't have to cut a hole for a radial mount. PM or call Greg at 757-849-8451

    Canvas Repair

David LeBlac at Leblanc's Custom Canvas in Hayes gets my business. He just did full enclosures for my hard top on an express cruiser with stamoid, tenera thread and strataglass and could not beat the price or quality. Stands behind his work and short of throwing a fillet knife through it or a drunk buddy falling through it, he gurantees his work. Check him out at leblanccustomcanvas@yahoo.com
  11. Talk about a slow day, nothing was biting at PQ, so moved on out to YSR, and other than three tiny croaker, it was a non starter. Beautiful run out from Back Creek, picked up a little chop on the return trip in the afternoon. Any news from Bluefish Rock or Thimble Shoal Light? Thinking about heading that direction on Tuesday. Thanks.

    canvas shop

Not sure where you are located, but Dave LeBlanc of LeBlanc Custom Canvas in Hayes, just did my full enclosure for my hard top and the quality and price was better than the other three recommended shops on this site!
  13. Recommend Back River Reef. Larger and more frequent hits then YSR. However last Saturday the wife caught 25 croaker and 1 Black Tip Reef Shark at YSR -- Good entertainment. Good luck and watch the weather in the afternoon!
  14. I always run the holes under the Willouby Spit side of the HRBT and surprisingly enough last Saturday YSR held some notables. I've also had good fortune at BRR. All on squid and light tackle

Another way to weight your traps is to zip tie dive belt weights to the corners..........personally I use the coated ones.
