  1. We had a Couple Fun Couples get out fishing with us this morning. The Spadefish bite has been Awesome with Boat Limits almost every trip in August. It was a beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay with light SW winds. We messed around with those Crazy Fighting Spadefish and ended up putting 24 in the cooler and Caught and Released a few more just for the Fun of it. We also caught the normal other stuff like Black Seabass, Bluefish, Oyster Toads and such. Lots of Fun and back to the dock for lunch.
  2. Sunday we had a Beautiful Day, Boat was Warmed up and Ready to go and our charter never showed up, so I took my First Mate out fishing. The fish were snapping everywhere we went today. First we messed around with the Spadefish and caught our limit and released 6 more in 15 minutes, so then we went and caught a limit of Flounder up to 23 inches. My First Mate caught the biggest, but the Captain caught the most, call it a tie. Monday was another beautiful day so we decided to do it again. Just like Sunday we started with the Spadefish and caught our limit and released 5 more in 15 minutes, then we went for some Flounder caught mostly shorts this morning but we quickly put 2 in the box then decided to do something different today. We trolled for Spanish and Blues catching our limit of Bluefish and some really nice Spanish Mackerel to add to the catch of the day. We also caught the normal other stuff like little Seabass, Oyster Toads and such and got back to the dock in short order. Lots of Fun, it was good to have a day for the Key Dreams Team to play.
  3. We had a Family Fun Fishing trip today. It was a beautiful day with light winds and calm seas on the Chesapeake Bay. We started out on the Flounder Hunt this morning and they were hungry this morning. We ended up catching 8 Flounder up to 21 inches and 5 for the cooler today. Then we messed around with the Spadefish for a while and had some fun with them. Then we trolled for some Spanish and Bluefish while keeping a vigilant eye out for cruising Cobia. We were back to the dock and all fish were cleaned before the big afternoon storms came into the area. We also caught the normal other stuff like little Seabass, Croaker, Oyster Toads and such. Lots of Fun.
  4. We had a group of Family and Friends get together with us today on KeyDreams for some Flounder, Spade fishing. It was a beautiful day with calm seas and light SW winds. We started messing with the Spadefish and after catching a bunch for the cooler and releasing some we went to test their skills at some Flounder Fishing. The Flounder bight was tough and they came up to short to keep today. We shifted gears and did some Spanish Mackerel trolling and hunting for Cobia. Only saw a couple big cobia that were stubborn and wouldn’t eat the eels, but it was still quite exciting seeing them swimming by the boat. We caught some Spanish and Blues while trolling and they realized they had caught the Spadefish Bug and wanted to mess with those Wild and Crazy Spadefish again. We went back to catching Spadefish and they caught their Boat Limit of Spadefish. These guys seemed to just love getting out on the water and enjoying a day off and having a good time together. They had plenty of fresh fillets to share with Friends and Family. Lots of Fun.
  5. We had three couples Fishing with us for some Family Fun this morning. They wanted to treat themselves to a fishing trip with KeyDreams on this beautiful Day on the Chesapeake Bay. We messed around with those Crazy Spadefish and caught their Boat Limit of Spadefish for the cooler and soon to be frying pan. Then we challenged their skills with some Flounder Fishing and landed 8 Flounder with a couple big ones for the box. We also caught a 5 foot Shark, and a Cobia and a bunch of other things like Bluefish, Grey Trout, Oyster Toads, Black Sea Bass, and Skates. It was a Fun and Beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay today.
  6. We had a Family Fun Fishing Trip today on KeyDreams for this beautiful morning on the Chesapeake Bay. We fished for those Crazy Spadefish for some of that Crazy Rod Bending Fight you can count on when a Spadefish hooks up. We caught our Boat Limit of Spadefish then went Trolling and looking for Cobia. We caught a few Spanish and Blue while trolling and Cobia Hunting. The biggest Rod Benders were the Cobia’s as we hooked up on two Cobia, one was big enough to keep, but the other was only 35 inches so we got a pic and released him. We finished the trip with some Flounder fishing and caught a few that we released. We also caught the other variety of fish like Oyster Toads, Skates, Sea bass, and Croaker. It was a Fun and Beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay today.
  7. We had a group of friends get with us today on KeyDreams for a day of Spadefish, Flounder and Spanish Mackerel fishing. It was a beautiful day with South West winds. We started looking for Flounder but the bite was tough with one short flounder, so anxious to whack those crazy fish we switched to Spadefish and caught our Boat limit of Spadefish. Then we got 8 Spanish Mackerel and a Bluefish while looking for Cobia. These guys seemed to just love getting out on the water and enjoying a day off and having a good time together. They had plenty of fresh fillets to share. We still caught the other stuff like Skates, Oyster toads, Seabass, and Croaker. We were back in port and I had the fish cleaned before the Storms hit the area. Lots of Fun.
  8. We had a Family Fun Fishing Trip today on KeyDreams for this beautiful morning on the Chesapeake Bay. We fished for Flounder for a little while then switched over to the Spadefish for some of that Crazy Rod Bending Fight you can count on when a Spadefish hooks up. We caught our Boat Limit of Spadefish and went back to Flounder Fishing. We did managed to get 4 Flounder with 3 keeper Flounder up to 19 inches in the box with all those Spadefish. We also caught the other variety of fish like Oyster Toads, Skates, Sea bass, and Croaker. It was a Fun and Beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay today.
  9. We had group of friends join us on this beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay with light winds and calm seas. We caught a couple Flounder then jumped into the Spadefish ended up taking their limit and releasing a couple keeping the rods bent with those Crazy Fish. When we were done with the Spadefish we went looking for Cobia and put this 47 incher in the Cooler. We also caught the normal other stuff like a shark, Skates, Croaker, little Seabass, Oyster Toads and such. Lots of Fun with new friends.
  10. We had some regulars join us again this summer. This lovely couple enjoyed a beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay with light winds and calm seas. The Spadefish ended up taking center stage today catching their limit and keeping the rods bent with those Crazy Fish. We did some Flounder fishing but ended up with 11 Flounder just undersized, so we focused on Spadefish. We also caught the normal other stuff like little Seabass, Oyster Toads, Skates and Bluefish. Lots of Fun with old friends.
  11. We got a family trip in this afternoon for these guys and it was a beautiful day. The Flounder bight is still a bit slow, caught 15 and managed to get 7 nice keepers up to 19 inches. 13. We had a Crazy Fun Family get the kids out fishing with us this morning. It was a beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay with light SW winds that started off a little cloudy and cool but then got sunny and warm. We started with the Flounder and got 6 up to 19 inches and 4 in the box. The youngest one had us in stitches, he said I want to just put my fishing pole in the pole holder because I’m a lazy fisherman, then when we would catch a fish he would do the fish dance. The second half of the morning we messed around with those Crazy Fighting Spadefish and ended up putting 10 in the cooler. We also caught the normal other stuff like Oyster Toads and such. Lots of Fun.
  14. We had a Family Fun Fishing Trip on another Beautiful Day with calm seas and light winds on the Chesapeake Bay. We got 3 Flounder up to 19 inches and 2 in the box. We had some Exciting Mayhem with a Black Tip Shark and then briefly had a Big Red Drum Bull run that pulled off. We messed around with the Spadefish and put 8 in the Cooler. We came across a good sized Cobia that was fun for everyone to watch but frustrating because he had lock jaw. We made several attempts with the eel and other live baits, bucktail and even threw cut bait at him and he wouldn’t eat. The Cobia just wasn’t in the mood so we eventually left him be for another day. We all had fun and the young man caught his Keeper Flounder for his Boy Scout Fishing Badge. We also caught the normal other stuff like Seabass, Oyster Toads, an eel and such. Back to the Dock around noon and beat the Afternoon Thunderstorm. Lots of Fun.

Grandpa was the Joke teller of the family and he got the Biggest Flounder and the Biggest Spadefish, Woo Woo Go Grandpa. We also caught the normal other stuff like little Seabass, Croaker, Oyster Toads and such. Lots of Fun.
  16. We had a Dad to get his boys out fishing with Key Dreams this morning. It was an overcast morning that finally gave way to sunny skies with light South winds. We starting with the Spadefish and the bite was picky and the hookups came slower than usual but they still got their limit of Spadefish for the Cooler. We spent the remaining time of the morning focused on Flounder but they weren’t snapping. We did see a couple of Cobia swimming together but they didn’t eat the eel today. We also caught the normal other stuff like Oyster Toads, Croakers and such and got back to the dock before it Hot and avoided the Afternoon Showers and T-Storms. Lots of Fun.
  17. Today we had a Group of friends get out fishing with us for some Spadefish and Flounder Fishing. It was beautiful today with light winds keeping it calm on the bay today. We started with those Crazy Fighting Spadefish. It didn’t take long and they were in the groove and we caught our 8 person Boat Limit. We shifted over to Flounder Fishing and got a half dozen flounder up to 19 inches with 3 of them keepers. We also caught Bluefish and a keeper Black Seabass. We also got the Cobia Surprise and some reel screaming action. We also caught the normal variety of the other stuff like Oyster toads, small Sea bass.
  18. We had a family outing for Mom and Dad to get the girls out fishing with Key Dreams this morning. It was a beautiful day with light winds, super calm and Glassy in some areas. We started looking for Flounder and got some Flounder action but they were coming up short. As we were heading to another hot spot we saw a couple small Cobia while cruising. After doing some more Flounder fishing we decided to take a detour and play with the Cobias on the way to the next spot. The first Cobia we saw look like it may be big enough so we flipped eels on it 3 times with no response, we were about to try a fourth time and a center console cruised up and flipped their eel at it and again they had no luck with it either. We moved on and saw a few more small ones that wouldn’t eat. We were almost back to our next fishing hot spot and we found about 20 Cobia’s packed up. There was one that looked big enough to keep in the middle of the pack. Surprisingly it took a few tries to get her hooked. It was kind a crazy watching the small cobia grab the eel by the tail and drag it away from the pack and just drop it never having the hook in its mouth and swimming back to the pack. The 3rd or 4th attempt landed rite on top of the biggest one in the middle of the pack and she sucked it up with-out hesitation. The pack tightly followed the big one we had hooked and it was crazy fun trying to get another one hooked up while they all followed in plain view but they kept either ignoring the eel or dragging it away, like Spawning bass clearing their bed. One finally pulled the eel off so I quickly grabbed a live bait and got one to hit but he missed the hook. Started to get nervous about losing the one we had on the hook so we netted it and they left. Since we did hook the biggest one in the group of about 20 of them and it was only 41 inches I’m pretty sure we got the only keeper out of that bunch. It was fun playing with them be we decided to get back to Flounder Fishing and got a nice eating size Bluefish and a Triggerfish. Then we finished up by going after those Crazy Fighting Spadefish and ended up catching our Boat limit of Spadefish. We also caught the normal other stuff like little Seabass, Oyster Toads and another baby Sea Donkey. Oh yea the Bonus Prize we saw floating on our way south and the Kids were excited about the rare catch (see pic). Lots of Fun.
  19. Today we had a Father get his sons out fishing with us for some Spadefish and Flounder Fishing. We caught some Flounder up to 19 inches and their limit of Spadefish. While Flounder fishing the younger son had a heavy one on and finally got it up and to our surprise it was a Rockfish (see picture). The older son had a nice one on fighting like a big doormat Flounder but when it got near the boat it went crazy and ran straight under the boat screaming line and got cut off by the running gear under the boat, never got a chance to see it so the Sea Monster got away this time. It was beautiful today with light winds keeping it calm on the bay today. We also caught the normal variety of the other stuff like Bluefish, Oyster toads, small Sea bass and even a surprise little Sea Donkey (Amberjack).
  20. We had a Group of Business Associates here for meeting get out fishing with Key Dreams this morning. It was a beautiful day but the South West winds were a bit stronger then we like but still fishable. We started with the Flounder again this morning which resulted in throwback flounder and toads. We picked the pace up with the Spadefish. These guys quickly got the hang of the bite and got their boat limit of 28 Spadefish for the Cooler and Catch and Released 4. Lots of Fun.
  21. We had a family group outing today getting the kids out fishing for a morning trip. It was a cloudy morning with light SW winds and flat calm on the bay most of the morning. Showers and storms were hanging south of us, but we got lucky and only got a sprinkling at the end of the trip. We fished for Flounder for a short period of time and the youngest had the most action catching some jumbo oyster toads. The Flounder were being stubborn so it wasn’t long before we ended up fishing for the Spadefish. We messed around with the Spadefish and ended up putting Limit of Spadefish in the box. Lots of Fun.
  22. We had a ½ day Family Fun Fishing trip this morning where these kids got dad out fishing on KeyDreams. It was a beautiful morning on the Chesapeake Bay but a little bumpy at times. The Flounder bight was slow today, but we did managed to get 4 Flounder with 2 nice keeper Flounder ranging up to 19 inches and then we worked over the Spadefish who were also being finicky this morning. We fed a bunch and managed 3 Spadefish for the table as well. It was a Fun and Beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay today with good folks.
  23. We had a group of Family and Friends get together with us today on KeyDreams for a ½ day of Flounder and Spade fishing. It was a beautiful day with calm seas and light SW winds. We started messing with the Spadefish and we had better than a dozen in the box when they wanted to try for some Flounder. We shifted gears and caught some Flounder up to 19 inches but after about 45 minutes they realized they had caught the Spadefish Bug and wanted to mess with those Wild and Crazy Spadefish again. We went back to catching Spadefish and they caught their Limit of Spadefish and we were back to the dock around Noon. These guys seemed to just love getting out on the water and enjoying a day off and having a good time together. They had plenty of fresh fillets to share with Friends and Family waiting at home for Dinner tonight. Lots of Fun.
